Christian Encouragement

Like others, I have experienced abuse, heartbreak, and trauma. For many years, I lived in the bondage that it brought. The bondage that limited me in ways I never imagined. Existing but not genuinely thriving. Many nights, I cried myself to sleep and woke up to the same tears I cried the night before.  It was not until I cried out to GOD, the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, that I started a path toward true healing. Tears that once flowed from the brokenness now flowed from the restoration of GOD’s promises. I found hope, love, and healing in GOD, the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” Psalms 34:18 NIV took on a whole new meaning.

In the Military, we had a Soldier’s Creed. Every time the Creed was recited, an overwhelming sense of motivation arose. Motivation is a way of instilling a desire to do something and to become something different. I wrote The Healing Creed to encourage others in their healing journey. A healing journey with the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. May the Healing Creed set you on the path towards a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ.

The Healing Creed

Some of the greatest human masterpieces are broken pieces put back together. I will not give up until I see mine. I place my heart in the hands of GOD, the Most High. I believe in the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He is my rock; in him, I shall trust. I will remain in him and cling to his vine.

I am more than the trauma or pain I have experienced. I give myself patience. I cloak myself in GOD’s Grace. I commit myself to healing. I am worthy of love. For the Lord, thy GOD loves me and tells me so. I will not accept anything less. I give myself and others forgiveness. I stand on the living word thereof. I place my faith in this and always look to the Heavens above.

The Living Word is the water that satisfies my thirst. It is the oxygen I breathe. It is the blood that flows through my veins. It edifies, purifies, and restores my soul.
